Cory East is the Vice President of Member Engagement at Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative (SSVEC), where he works to strengthen relationships between the cooperative and the communities it serves. His work focuses on communication, community engagement, economic development, and helping create opportunities that support the long-term success of southeastern Arizona.

Before joining SSVEC in 2017, Cory spent years in agriculture and business ownership, operating ventures that ranged from farming to restaurant management. Those experiences taught him the value of hard work, service, and building strong relationships—lessons that continue to guide his leadership today.

Cory is passionate about rural communities and believes that strong partnerships are essential to economic growth and quality of life. He enjoys working with local leaders, businesses, and organizations to help the region thrive.

When he’s not working, Cory enjoys spending time with his wife and their four children and is grateful to call southeastern Arizona home.
