What to expect?
- Ceremonies may be scheduled Monday through Thursday from 9:00am-3:30pm. We require a two-week notice of a ceremony to accommodate for proper promotion as well as to ensure no other conflicts are on the calendar so you can have the best attendance possible.
- A member of our team will contact you within two (2) business days to confirm receipt of your request.
- A tentative date will be reserved upon receipt of the request.
- We will contact the Mayor and City Council for their availability.
- We will confirm with you the date/time of the event.
- Your ribbon cutting will be announced on the Partnership's website calendar, and a media alert will be issued.
- Our staff will be in attendance with ribbon-cutting scissors, ribbon, and proclamation certificate.
Sample Itinerary (30 minutes):
- Partnership staff, diplomats, and business representatives gather for a photo. Scissors are given to the owner/manager for cutting.
- Partnership staff takes photos throughout ceremony and a recording is posted to the Partnership's social media platforms.
- Business spokesperson provides a brief overview (3-5 minutes) of the business for diplomats and staff to “spread the word.”
- Adjourn for refreshments (if provided by business) & Partnership portion of the event concludes.
