Michael Hyman's roots are in Chicago, Illinois, but his early life involved frequent moves as his father's naval career took them to bases around the United States. As an adult in Chicago, Michael attended Sanford-Brown College, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Visual Communications. He later went on to teach at Sanford-Brown, where he was named the Educator of the Year in 2013. Later, Michael worked for Quill as an interactive designer for brands like Hewlett Packard, Canon, and Epson . He then moved on to Responsys/Oracle where he worked as a Senior Team Lead under their marketing department where he worked on campaigns for Coach, AT&T, Bed, Bath & Beyond, among others. After 20 years in this industry, Michael decided it was time to strive for something more intrinsically rewarding as well as a better climate. In 2022 he and his wife, Kelly, relocated to Sierra Vista to start a homecare company in which they could make a difference in the lives of people every day. Michael and Kelly love the Sierra Vista community, and have achieved great success in their three years of business, including being the top growing Synergy franchise in the country from 2023-2024.
In his free time, Michael enjoys playing video games, collecting comic books, spending time at home with his wife and two cats, and seeing his grown daughter, Makayla, whenever possible. Michael is currently in the SIRP Leadership Program and credits the program with his deepened connection to the community.
